For Sale.  We encourage you to visit the farm and interact with our animals BEFORE purchase.  BeaverTree farm prides itself on how we manage our animals. If you are buying your first animal, a visit can be particularly helpful in terms of planning aspects of your farm.

Last Update:  March 20, 2010

We have no dexters for sale currently. Our next group of calves will arrive in the Spring, followed by a group in the Fall.  If you are looking for a specific color or type of dexter, contact Charles.

Fainting Goat Babies Arriving!  We have just had our first  fainting kids from our fantastic herd sire Jasper.  We have three championship quality bucklings for sale.

First Buckling:  SOLD. Brown and black with brown eyes.  He is also being handled daily.  This little guy is a real looker and can add tremendous quality to your herd.  His mom has an excellent disposition and this buckling will bring that to your farm! He is priced at $175 and you get to name him with a deposit.

Second Buckling.  SOLD. Mom is Illusion (moonspot doe) and dad is our tri-color polled Jasper.  This is a tri-color with great conformation and can be a great herd sire.  Tri-color priced at $250

Third Buckling.  SOLD.  From Illusion also and this is a beautiful brown/black combo with a single spot of white in the middle of his head!  He came into the world with a happy attitude - look at this picture a few minutes after birth!  A real bargain at $250 also.

Any of these bucklings will be ready to go to their new home in about 2-3 months (around May 1st).  Price includes immunizations and worming when they are weaned!  Bucklings can be registered with the Myotonic Goat Registry.

Halter Breaking And Tameness Scale.  We also assign a "rating" to every Dexter we sell in terms of how halter broken and tame they are.  This is a practical scale that reflects our real-world experience in working with each cow.  We guarantee that each Dexter is rated accurately based on the following scale:

1: Runs at the sight of you

2: Stays put; you can walk near but not touch

3: Lets you feed treats - moves away if you try to touch

4: Somewhat hard to catch, but great on halter once it is on

5: Can walk up and put a halter on in the middle of a pasture

Sales Policy:  No animals are considered sold until a deposit is received.  Final payment is due upon delivery.  Delivery charges are in addition to the sales price.  We do offer delivery services.  BeaverTree Farm reserves the right to not finalize a sale if we believe it is not in the best interest of the animal.  Should that happen, we will refund all monies paid to that point, including delivery charges.  We care where our animals go!

Forms of Payment:  We accept cash, checks (must clear), and PayPal.

What you get when you buy from Beavertree Farm:

1.  A Dexter that has been handled on a daily basis to insure a great disposition.  If you are not happy with the Dexter you buy from us, we are not happy!  In the case of an adult cow, we use the following classification:

   -  Bred Cow.  This cow has a positive pregnancy test, using the BioPryn laboratory.  Confirmed pregnancy test, in writing, provided.

    - Exposed Cow.  This cow has been in the pasture with a specific bull and is likely pregnant.  However, we have not done a formal blood test.

    - Open Cow.  This cow IS NOT pregnant to the best of our knowlege.

2. Dehorning (if applicable & desired).  Please let us know if you want a horned calf as we usually dehorn at about 4 weeks of age.  If you plan to handle/pet your Dexter, we recommend dehorning!

3. All vaccinations/worming and vet check if transporting out of state.  Health records provided to new owner at delivery.

4. Halter broken and trained to lead. Poly rope halter provided at delivery.

5. Registration in the American Dexter Cattle Assoication, with 1 year membership.

6. Unlimited phone & email support after the sale.

7.  Showing your Dexter (or helping you show) at major events throughout the year (if desired).

8.   Early notification of new calves that might be available, and discounted pricing for repeat customers.  Many of our customers are repeat buyers!

** The above does not apply to a steer being sold for beef.
