Midas, our herd sire, is passing along traits we feel important in terms of conformation and disposition. Email us with your specific needs; our objective is to help you find the best animal for your farm and family.
2012 Calves:We expect Our 2012 calf crop to be outstanding! The cows and heifers that will calve in 2012 all have show experience, extremely calm dispositions, and great conformation. Every cow or heifer listed below has been bred by our herd sire Midas. Cows and heifers that will calve in 2012:
Bryanna - black cow. Her last two bull calves were champions at shows. We are hoping for a heifer this time! Bryanna will calve Jan/Feb 2012.
Breeze - red cow, this will be a red calf. Lots of show experience, very beefy cow. Her 2011 bull calf was the calmest calf we have ever had. Spring calf.
Caroline - dun cow. Our favorite Dexter, as sweet as they come. Spring calf.
Clover - red cow. This will be a red calf. We kept her heifer this year and she is already racking up show wins! Spring calf.
Queen - red heifer. This will be a red calf. Queen has an outstanding pedigree. We are expecting great things from her. Late Spring calf.
Showe - red cow. This will be a red calf. We have her daughter (Redbug) in training for the 2012 show season. Fall calf.
Spice - black, short legged heifer, carries red. She is spoiled and craves attention. Summer calf.
Sugar - black, short legged, multiple show champion! Conformation is excellent, a real crowd favorite. Fall calf.
Violet - red heifer. This will be a red calf. Violet was the SC Junior Champion heifer. Very easy going with great lines. Fall calf.
If you have an interest in any of these calves, please contact us. We DO NOT take deposits on unborn calves but we can notify you and email photos of each calf that is born. There is no commitment on your part for this service. If you are interested in a BeaverTree Dexter, we encourage you to contact us as early as possible. Many of our animals sell within hours/days of being born.
Halter Breaking And Tameness Scale. We assign a "rating" to every Dexter in terms of how halter broken and tame they are. This is a practical scale that reflects our real-world experience. We guarantee that each Dexter is rated accurately based on the following scale:
1: Runs at the sight of you.
2: Stays put; you can walk near but not touch. If you get too close will walk away.
3: May let you feed treats. May let you touch or pet or might move away if you try to touch.
4: Somewhat hard to catch, but performs well on halter.
5: Can walk up and put a halter on in the middle of a pasture. FEW cows reach this level!
If you purchase a calf from us, we GUARANTEE it will be at least a 4 on the above scale!
References - We have NEVER had a dissatisfied customer. We are happy to provide a list of customers you can contact in advance of a purchase from BeaverTree Farm.
Sales Policy: No animals are considered sold until a deposit is received. Final payment is due upon delivery. Delivery charges are in addition to the sales price (currently $1.25 per loaded mile). BeaverTree Farm reserves the right to not finalize a sale if we believe it is not in the best interest of the animal. Should that happen, we will refund all monies paid to that point, including delivery charges. We care where our animals go!
Forms of Payment: We accept cash, checks (must clear), and PayPal.
